FuguEditions, new publishing imprint, launches this week on the 26 September. The first book publications are The Writer’s Fugue: Musicalization, Trauma and Subjectivity in the Literature of Modernity by Ruth Skilbeck (literary criticism and theory), and the first two fictional literary novels in the Australian Fugue colonial crime/mystery/romance novel series: Sayonara Baby and The Antipodean Room by Ruth Skilbeck. FuguEditions will start-up by running a Pozible campaign as a way that readers in Australia can easily order and buy books. As FuguEditions will be selling books online, and all the major platforms are based in the USA – FuguEditions is going to use Pozible as a shop front until developing a larger Publisher/bookshop website (which will take financial resources that the publisher aims to build up through book sales).
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR), and New Hunter Business support this new publishing enterprise, and we thank them for their sponsorship.
